Over 350,000 hectares of marine waters off the coast of Wexford have been designated as a new Special Protection Area (SPA), making it the largest SPA in the history of the State. The Seas off Wexford SPA will improve protection for over 20 species of bird and increases the percentage of protected marine waters around Ireland to almost 10 per cent.
