Subscriber only Two brothers who allegedly were involved in an altercation at Caloundra RSL which left a police officer seriously injured will return to court next month. Joseph Dean Keys, 23, is charged with two counts of assault occasioning bodily harm, two counts of obstructing police, committing a public nuisance in a licenced venue and seriously assaulting a police officer while under the influence. His older brother, Jacob James Keys, 35, is charged with two counts of obstructing police and committing public nuisance within a licensed premise. Jacob James Keys fronted Maroochydore Magistrates Court over allegations he obstructed police during an incident at Caloundra RSL.

Subscriber only An argument over doing the dishes ended when a man sprayed mould cleaner in his partner s face. On April 1 at 11am a woman contacted police regarding a domestic dispute, court documents reveal. When police attended the Tweed address, the woman said she had recently separated from the man which had resulted in ongoing arguments. She told police the man had sprayed mould cleaner in her face. She had immediate pain and discomfort with a burning sensation on her face. When police spoke to the 47-year-old man he said he had sprayed it but didn t believe it was in her face.

A man with an appalling 14-page criminal history escaped jail time after appearing in Gladstone Magistrates Court on Friday.
The man, 39, who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty to eight charges including contravening a domestic violence order, common assault and public nuisance.
He appeared via video-link from the Capricornia Correctional Centre.
Police prosecutor Tania Griffiths read the facts of the man’s offending to the court and Acting Magistrate Ron Muirhead.
On Tuesday, March 2, about 4.31pm, police were tasked to attend Gladstone Airport in relation to a disturbance involving a male and female victim.

A horrific domestic violence offender assaulted his victim then punched her windscreen because she refused to drive him somewhere, a court heard.
The man, 23, who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty in Gladstone Magistrates Court on Friday to several charges including two counts of common assault.
Police prosecutor Kelvin Boyd read the facts of the man’s case to the court and Magistrate Bevan Manthey.
The worst of the man’s offending occurred on February 4, when the defendant and the aggrieved were driving on the Scenic Hwy at Emu Park, Queensland.
At 6pm, the aggrieved was driving her car and the defendant was the passenger in the front seat.
