The Lawyer representing a 31-year-old Cemetery Hill woman charged in connection with last Monday’s fire in the village of New Hampshire, St Georges that gutted a dwelling house, returns to court today (Friday, May 7th) in search of bail.
The Accused woman, Myanna Mitchell who appeared before Magistrate Taheria Gellineau last Friday at the St Georges number two Magistrate Court on two criminal charges namely Arson and Attempt to Commit Capital Murder, had her application for bail deferred to today’s date after Prosecution vehemently objected to a request put forward on her behalf by Defense Lawyer Derrick Sylvester.

TRUMANN, Ark.(WMC) - Arkansas police are investigating a shooting involving a teenaged girl.
Anna Wright, 18, was shot early Monday morning on April 5, while driving on Highway 69 near Heroes Lane, according to Trumann Police.
Officers responded to reports of a vehicle crash but were unaware of the shooting.
Wright was flown to the hospital in critical condition.
Trevon Wofford, 18, was arrested Monday, police said.
He is being held on the charges of Criminal Attempt to Commit Capital Murder, Aggravated Robbery, and Committing a Terroristic Act, according to court documents.
On Wednesday, at approximately 3:45 p.m., deputies responded to the 12000 block of Chambers Road in Bauxite.Â
The 911 caller reported that a suspect was shooting recklessly from inside a residence and was continuing to fire what appeared to be multiple weapons. At one point, the caller stated that the suspect walked outside and was firing randomly.
Upon the first deputyâs arrival, the suspect, George Woffard, 61 of Bauxite, began firing multiple shots at him as he exited his patrol unit, striking the unit in the back door. Multiple other units arrived on scene only moments later. The suspect then threw his weapon down and fled on foot towards a nearby residence where he was intercepted by an Arkansas State Police Trooper who had responded to the scene. Subsequently, Woffard was taken into custody without further incident and no injuries were reported.
