PIGEON FORGE â Just 123 people cast ballots in the cityâs municipal election Tuesday, as there were no contested seats on the city commission.
Commissioner Kevin McClure got the largest vote total in the election, with 121 votes in his favor, but was also the only candidate to have write-in votes cast against him.
There were two of those, meaning that everyone who cast ballots in the election voted on Commission Seat A.
Commissioner Jay Ogle, in Seat B, got 115 courtesy votes. Commissioner Tony Watts got 114 votes to retain Seat C.
The city holds staggered elections every two years, meaning the seats of Commissioner David Wear and Commissioner Ken Maples will be up for re-election in 2023.
