BUKIT MERTAJAM: One in every 10 residents has tested positive for Covid-19 so far in Taman Nagasari, which is under the enhanced movement control order.
Out of 2,722 residents there, 273 have so far tested positive as at 10.45am yesterday.
Over 90% of the population in this neighbourhood are foreigners, working in the nearby factories.

BUTTERWORTH: A 45-year-old technician has been charged with 14 counts of sexually abusing his daughter at their home here over a span of 12 years.
The accused was charged at the Sessions Court here with 12 charges of incest under Section 376B of the Penal Code which allegedly took place at a Bukit Mertajam house between 2009 and 2020.
He was also charged with molestation under Section 14(1) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017 as the victim was under 18 at the time of the alleged offences.
The accused pleaded not guilty to all charges before Sessions Court Judge Norhayati Mohamad Yunus on Friday (June 4) and was denied bail.
