Carolyn Butler
Michael Butler
The CBMB Commemorative Scholarship was established to commemorate the lives of siblings Carolyn “Cat” Butler and Michael A. Butler. The untimely passing of both siblings, Michael in December 2020 and Cat in February 2021, was heartbreaking for the family. However, instead of letting grief consume them, their
children, Christopher, Carey, Jamaar, Leila, Milan, Micah and Tarik, choose to honor their parents’ memory by helping support two natives of the Columbus-Lowndes County area on their educational journey.
Applicants must be a graduating senior or college student from the Columbus/Lowndes area with at least a 2.0 cumulative average on a 4.0 scale, and be going to enroll in a HBCU for the fall 2021 semester and spring 2022 semester.
