Reporter panic at a i71 rest stop yesterday in delaware county. My friend hads been shot and hes laying on the ground. Reporter the victim, alex melchert. Absolutely devastated too, numb. Reporter his childhood friends overcome with worry. The Colleges Administration trying to help those who know alex. We gave the news to his roommate directly and talked with kind of knew what was coming down the pipe. Reporter Highway Patrol believes the shooting was random and the man responsible was 25 yearold sean johnson and first shot alex and sped away in the toyota camera and led police on a 44mile chase north of i71 into rich land county. Topers say johnson then shot himself. Hes dead. Cant really describe it. Really hard. Reporter these Court Documents reveal that Police Issued a warrant for johnsons arrest one day prior to the shooting. Charged with Domestic Violence and assault and digging deeper, we found out that his mom called Police Friday night saying he punched her, threatened to kill
