Obviously im not sure if those twoyear Program Programs would be to the extreme detriment of our university because in some ways those two years may or may not carry with it the client of quality that will prepare them to matriculation to agriculture or engineering or Veterinary School or even business so im not as privy to provide the real data to respond to how we would directly impact tuskegee but let me say this. I believe Tuskegee University will remain strong and ending performance and outcomesbased model as we continue to track our successes and document and also ensure that we continue to make a valueadded pitch to students about the value of attending our institution for full four years for their matriculation. Our experience is in order for motivating the young people to come back, the mothers play a vital role. I mean they are being brainwashed and on a path to radicalization that make it very difficult to reach one of the things that will still melt their hearts are the mothers. So that does put a significant role, but its about the entire network and making sure that we connect them to people of importance in their lives on all levels. Because we know that you have a great relationship, or at least, you know on the distribution better than most. Your mayor brought you here. You have twice monthly meetings with your police chief. But for someone whos starting not from a good a position of, you know relatively good relations, i think maybe there are some more concrete things you can say about how you let it start with the union representative. And if you could give us ideas about a strategy, that would be useful, at least for me to hear. Like getting your membership on board or something. I dont know how you do that. Its a fair question. And we all have our own constituencies. And people sometimes try to overindicator to theirs. For example, if im expecting a public official to be the one to take that leap of faith, what you have to realize is that they answer to their constituency and that theyre going to weigh that very heavily. It is so controversial it is not anything i am proposing. I think we need to have the opportunity to grow the economy. I am a believer the private sector has tremendous muscle. Sometimes government gets in that way of free markets. Our Free Enterprise system and has been remarkable in its history. Never in the history of the world that has we have ever had something that provided better services. Sometimes government gets in the way, so the efforts are to streamline government which means to impart the private sector. Venture capital and where we get that from, whether from americans or it comes from outside sources around the country, that is taking place now. Whether we need a bank is something i have not thought about. I am happy to make a decision on that but i am prepared to do that today. It sounds like an ambitious agenda. Stay one step ahead of illegal migration on the southern border and to stay one step ahead of our weather conditions, to closely monitor our weather conditions in a very harsh winter. If we shut down, that staff is cut back to a skeleton. Third, approximately 80 of femas permanent appropriated workforce, 80 is for load is for load furloughed. Fourth our ability to grant money to state and local Law Enforcement which they rely upon for their own missions grinds to a halt, either because there is no money or the ability to process payment has been furloughed. Fifth, Service Providers and suppliers of this department did not get paid during the period of the shutdown. Again, because theres no money or our ability to process payments have been furloughed. I could go on and on. Overall, a shutdown of Homeland Security would have serious consequences and amount to a serious disruption in our ability to protect the homeland. To those in congress who may be contemplating hunting or kicking the
