University of Iowa College of Pharmacy Dean Donald E. Letendre will step down next summer aiming to continue leading the nationally-ranked college until his successor is hired. Even then, Letendre won’t be far intending to stay on faculty as a professor.
The University of Iowa College of Education was recently recognized as a role model organization for its commitment to continuous improvement and performance excellence.
The State of Iowa has agreed to pay the former director of a University of Iowa program for students with disabilities $325,000 to settle her lawsuit accusing the institution and Board of Regents of age and gender discrimination and of violating her civil rights for equal pay.

Dean Sara Sanders and UI President Bruce Harreld will confer degrees. President Harreld will confer an Honorary Doctorate of Science upon Mark Mattson, professor of neuroscience at Johns Hopkins University.
