People of all abilities will be able to enjoy an outstanding experience at this year’s BASSINTHEGRASS thanks to a range of new accessibility measures introduced to the Territory’s iconic music festival that will take place at Mindil Beach on 15 May.
Festival organiser Northern Territory Major Events Company has engaged Carpentaria Disability Services to promote a more inclusive environment for all festivalgoers.
This year music fans with special needs will have access to two elevated platforms, each boasting plenty of shade and providing direct views of the closest stage.
There will also be accessible toilets at each end of the venue, and Pro Floor (portable event flooring) will be installed to minimise uneven surfaces across the event site.
