The chp just wrapped up a quick press conference here and saying overall, things went pretty smoothly for this first morning commute with the bay bridge, some people pulling over and gawking, even taking some pictures. But i wanted to show you what it looks like here at the toll plaza this morning. Even at this hour, officers say traffic is a little bit heavy out here. We have seen lots of families rolling by very slowly this morning. Aid chance to ask a couple of them what are you doing . And they shouted back, were going to see the bridge. To the bridge was the hardest part. Traffic backed up early but past the toll plaza, the incline. And then, there it was, sweeping views you could never see from the old bridge, signature tower that wowed commuters from San Francisco.
