Going 80 miles an hour in a 30 miles an hour zone when it wept off the rails along a curve near tacoma killing three and injuring dozens more. They are still unsure if the high speed caused the accident and are looking into whether the conductor was distracted by an employee in training. The train which was carrying 86 people was on its first journey on a new route from seattle to portland. Fox talked to a local soldier who helped passengers to safety after the crash. I couldnt afford to be scared. I couldnt afford to be shock. I had to do what im called to do and focus and channel that into helping these people around me, um, get to safety as best as possible. One passenger described the crash as quote like being inside an exploding bomb.
