A hiker who went missing in the Coldwater area of Mount St. Helens this past Sunday was found dead Wednesday afternoon.
First Lt. Brian Yang was last seen around 12 p.m. Sunday at the Coldwater Trail Head. Just before 2 p.m. Wednesday, hikers in the Mt. Whittier area called 911 to report finding a person on a ridge below them.
According to the Cowlitz County Sheriff s Office, search and rescue crews responded and were able to confirm that the body was that of Mr. Yang. He was found unresponsive after apparently falling about two hundred feet down a steep embankment.
