Cold wave in India: Very dense fog was reported in isolated parts of Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, west Uttar Pradesh and northwest Madhya Pradesh on Wednesday late night, according to the IMD.
Cold wave conditions and foggy weather prevailed over several pockets in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and parts of Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan as well. IMD has issued a yellow alert for Delhi-NCR for the next 6 days aaa
The cold snap will continue till 07th Jan. Intensity and spread of freeze may increase over this period. Western disturbance is likely to arrive on 07th Jan, albeit impacting mostly the mountains and foothills.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), cold wave conditions are very likely to remain in isolated pockets over Punjab and Haryana during the next 24 hours and abate thereafter.
