Open right now. After an accident involving multiple cars. It happened near the mclaughlin avenue exit just after 2 30 this morning. The chp said one of the cars overturned and another caught on fire. At least one person has died. It is unclear how many other people have been hurt. No word yet on what caused that accident or when the lanes will reopen. More breaking news now out of martinez. Investigators are trying to figure out how two cars caught on fire in the driveway of a home. Firefighters say flames from the cars spread to part of the home on phyllis terrace before 2 00 this morning. Neighbors saw the fire and then heard explosions. Crews say exploding tires likely caused loud noises. The residents were home at the time. Fortunately, no one was hurt.
