Deputy bill foreman was hit more than two weeks ago when he was responding to a home where a 6yearold had been killed. 9news crime and justice reporter Anastasiya Bolton spoke to foremans girl friend. 14 days in the icu, but deputy foreman is getting better. His girl friend said he had less than a 1 chance of surviving the crash, but deputy foreman is doing much better as you could see there. Now he was bleeding out internally february 10th. He was hit by a driver who failed to yield. Foreman was not speeding or going lights and sirens. A big truck plowed into his drivers side. Laura murphy said when she first got the call from the Sheriffs Office, they did not tell her if bill was dead or alive, just said come to the hospital as fast as you can. Traffic impact because of this activity here along highway 85. 85 is closed both directions from 37th street to 42nd street south of 34 in evans, which is directly south of greeley. A local detour is in place and a 5 to 10 minute delay is anticipated. Highway 85 is of course the main artery leaving greeley to head anywhere south. So as this continues to evolve, well keep you updated on the details. Hospital after getting shot at a home in denver. This happened along east 38th avenue. We have a crew on the way and well bring an update. Authorities tracked down david skelly yesterday afternoon. He was taken into custody. The 40yearold was wanted in connection with the rape and Sexual Assault of a young girl in toledo, ohio 15 years ago. He also went by the alias Herman Maurice singleton. Investigators never gave up. U. S. Marshals followed leads all over the country and in mexico. He was also featured in hes being held in the adams county jail and is expected to appear in court on monday. The subject fired, there were three members of the Park County Sheriffs Office that were hit. One of those deputies lost his life. Reporter a tight knit community is struggling to make sense of the shooting. Three officers involved, one of them lost his life. We are learning more about those officers this morning.
