NEW DELHI, Jan 25, 2021 (BSS) â Eminent Rabindra Sangeet exponent and writer Sanjida Khatun and veteran freedom fighter Col Quazi Sajjad Ali Zahir, Bir Protik (Rtd) have been honoured with Padma Shri, Indiaâs one of the highest civilian Awards, this year.
The two Bangladeshi distinguished personalities have been nominated for the awards for their outstanding contributions to the fields of art and public affairs, according to an Indian home ministry release issued here this evening.
Every year India confers the prestigious Padma award in three categories, namely- Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri.
