And the car tore out of the area. Reporter then, the driver stops at the base of the u. S. Capitol. Everyone inside the capitol complex was told to shelter in place. Congressmen walking outside, were told to hide their identities. They said take your pin off. We wear these pins around. He said, take the pin off. You could be a target. Reporter the driver tries to flee. And police fire into the vehicle, killing the woman. Inside careys car. No weapons but something much more alarming, a 1yearold baby who was unhurt. Two officers, one from the Capitol Police and one from the secret service, were injured in the chase. Those brave men and women of the Capitol Police who stopped this threat are not being paid.
