West Side Christian’s senior girls didn’t get off to a rousing start on the basketball court this season. The Lady Warriors lost five of their first six games before Coach Randall Miller was able to find the right combination.
The team went into the holiday break on a five-game winning streak by using Miller’s “Mac Attack” strategy. Grace McNabb, Jenna McAdams and Camille McKnight have emerged as the team’s most consistent scorers and all-around players.
West Side Christian’s girls entered the Warrior Classic with a 3-5 record. They walked out of it with a 6-5 record.
It was a pretty good week in Warrior Land.
West Side Christian’s boys will carry a 9-4 record into their own Warriors Classic on Tuesday. Coach Randall Miller wasn’t sure what to expect from the team, which had to replace some key seniors off last year’s squad.
