GAINESVILLE, Fla. (seminoles.com) – As the Florida State Women’s Tennis Team gets set to play Florida International on Saturday in the first round of the NCAA Championships at the Alfred A. Ring Tennis Complex at the University of Florida, junior Vic Allen is building quite a legacy. She’s a member of two NCAA Championship teams, earned All-American Honors from the ITA for her doubles play in 2020 and is among the top 20 in school history for doubles winning percentage.  She’s also one of four players in school history with multiple winning streaks in singles play of 10 matches or more. Allen is not only successful on the tennis court, but in the classroom as well. She is a recent recipient of the Golden Nole Award for her outstanding academic achievements and the newly elected Vice President of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) at Florida State.  She earned Academic Dean’s List honors this spring and has earned either President’s List (three times) or Dean’

Hule Records Sixth Straight Ranked Win

Coral Gables, FL – The FSU women’s tennis team continued its three-week road trip facing its fourth straight ranked opponent and third straight opponent ranked in the top 20. Friday afternoon the Noles were in Coral Gables where they came up short versus No. 12 Miami 6-1. Petra Hule, the nation’s 16th-ranked singles player, recorded her sixth-straight ranked victory in singles for the Noles. With injuries once again forcing the Seminoles to play short-handed, FSU was unable to upset either of the two ranked doubles teams they faced after starting out down 0-1 although Petra Hule and Anna Arkadianou came close. On court one, the FSU pair fell just shy of defeating the nation’s No. 16 pair falling 4-6. Facing a 0-2 deficit heading into singles, the Seminoles faced ranked opponents on courts 1-3. No 18 Women Advances At ITA Weekend Kickoff Regional

Tallahassee, FL – The 18th-ranked FSU women’s tennis advanced to the winner’s bracket at the ITA Kickoff Weekend regional in Tallahassee Saturday afternoon. The Seminoles defeated Illinois 4-3 and will now face the winner of No. 19 Florida and FIU Sunday at 2:00 p.m. The win moved FSU to a perfect 3-0 on the season. Starting down 1-0 in doubles for the third straight dual match due to player availability, FSU once again did what it needed to do to take the point and jump out to a 1-0 lead. Vic Allen and Kianah Motosono came off first on court two with a 6-2 victory. With the score even, it was up to Petra Hule and Lesedi Jacobs to put the Noles in the lead. The pair improved to 3-0 as a team with a 6-4 win on court one to take the point. “The team did such a mature job in doubles to start the match and came out on fire,” said FSU Head Coach Jen Hyde. “We got some big leads on courts one and two and to have to forfeit three is an added pressure but they handled it really we
