The Tropic Cinema, 416 Eaton St., will offer a free outdoor screening of âSummer of Soulâ at 8:30 p.m. on Friday, July 2. The documentary recounts the 1969 Harlem Cultural Festival, which celebrated African American music and culture. Those attending should bring chairs. The Tropicâs indoor theater will also be open for those wishing to buy tickets for an air-conditioned experience.

U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Ingham, located in Truman Waterfront Park, is open for tours from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. The Monroe County Public Library Summer Reading program will be held on Saturdays, with virtual programs and videos, Highlights Bingo, “Take and Make” crafts and animal-themed story times.
