Music in parks in 2021

WARD councillors have approved funding that paves the way for bands to play in three Guiseley and Rawdon parks this summer. Cllrs Paul Wadsworth, and Pat and Graham Latty are giving money from their discretionary Wellbeing Funds to provide a band to play in Nunroyd Park, Micklefield Park and Springfield Park, as part of the ‘Summer Bands in the Parks’ series planned for 2021. The concerts will be free for all to attend. Cllr Paul Wadsworth said:“We really welcome the return of live music to our parks. These bands will provide a great opportunity for local residents to get out and about in the sunshine, enjoy their parks and support local businesses. With a vaccine for Covid-19 on the way, we look forward to this live music as part of a great summer where the community can get out and see each other again.”
