MP slams councillor in stinging attack

By Aran Dhillon, Local Democracy Reporter Cllr Tony Higgins and MP Andy Carter WARRINGTON South MP Andy Carter has suggested a council cabinet member should ‘do his homework’ before making comments after launching a stinging attack. If so, the funding will total up to £495,000. It would provide a ‘much-needed’ financial boost to support the community interest company in reopening leisure services across the borough once lockdown is lifted. But Cllr Tony Higgins, cabinet member for leisure and community, has criticised Mr Carter.
