Residents to get Doric Park poll

Impression of the 3G artificial pitch development on land next to Doric Park RESIDENTS of Trowbridge are to get a second chance to vote on a controversial £2.2 million scheme for a 3G artificial turf pitch on land next to Doric Park in Hilperton. Trowbridge town council voted on Tuesday to give people a chance to comment on whether the scheme should go ahead. A second round of online public consultation starts today (Wed, March 17) and will end on Friday, March 26. The move followed a recommendation from the council s leisure and information services committee. It also followed a warning from resident Paul Jubbie, 44, of Cavell Court, that he would demand a parish poll on the consultation issue, which could have cost Trowbridge Town Council up to £56,000.
