After the drama and excitement of recent weeks just 2 teams are in action this weekend and for the minor footballers it’s a winner takes all clash, and more or less the same for the intermediate camogie team.
In the most dramatic fashion, the senior hurlers’ season ended last Sunday, but for a number of Cork teams, there is still a lot to play for and they will all be in action this coming weekend.
It began on Monday night with a brilliant win in Limerick, and it continues until Sunday with the senior hurlers playing Clare in what could be a season-defining game in Ennis.
Cork captain, Rachel Harty made no bones about how disappointed she was by the general level of her team’s performance when they needed a phenomenal injury-time equaliser by Cliona O’Leary from a 70m free to snatch a draw in the Very Camogie League Division 2B final last weekend and the Rebels certainly found an extra gear to be successful in today’s replay, making no mistake to record a 2-15 to 0-13 triumph over Kilkenny at The Ragg.
