A cement truck driver clipped lowhanging wires on hazelmere road. The force ripped the wires and the pole down on the cab of his truck, those wires were live which means the driver couldnt get out on his own without serious risk to his life. Rescuers were able to free him but it took about four hours. Ever source has been on scene to restore power to the neighborhood, the good news neither the truck driver nor anyone else involved was hurt. If you take a look at this video around 6 00 the cement truck was driving down the street and struck low wires when the wires came down as well as that utility pole. Those were live wires that landed on the truck trapping the driver in the cab for several hours. Crews had to come to the scene and shut down power and work to free the driver. We can say thankfully the driver was freed about a half an hour ago. The work still continues and employees tell me itll be continuing for some time. They estimate power will not be back on in the neighborhood until tomorrow morning. Thankfully we can say everybody is okay here. Thank you. This developing story.
