Florida State University begins administering COVID-19 vaccine
University Health Services vaccinated 60 people 65 and up on their first day

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) â Florida State University is partnering with the Leon County Department of Health to begin vaccinating staff 65 and older and eligible students.
The school received both Moderna and Pfizer vaccines and vaccinated 100 healthcare workers last week, and 60 seniors today.
They already have 200 appointments scheduled for this week.
Ryan Pagel, associate director of Clinical Operations at University Health Services said after this week they plan to increase the number of vaccinations.

Florida State University began administering the first round of COVID-19 vaccines to faculty, staff and students age 65 and older Wednesday in its continued efforts to mitigate the virus.
Through a partnership with the Florida Department of Health in Leon County, FSU is now offering the vaccination to the university’s 65 and older population. The partnership enables the county to expand its distribution and allows more community members to receive access to the vaccine sooner.
