MARTA is presenting options for bus rapid transit and arterial rapid transit in the Clifton Corridor during public forums this week. MARTA was also looking at adding light rail in the area, but is not moving forward with that option.
Various events are happening this week in and around DeKalb County, including a Valentine’s Day pop-up in Decatur Square, the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater at the Fox and the Avondale Arbor Day Tree Planting. Several local government meetings are also scheduled for this week.
The city of Decatur held a public workshop at North Decatur Presbyterian Church on Dec. 7 to decide what to do about the intersection of North Decatur Road and Superior Avenue, nicknamed “killer corners” by neighbors.
MARTA officials are moving forward on the Clifton Corridor, a transformational transit project that would connect Decatur to the Lindbergh Center station, with key stops at major institutions along the way.
