A major Andy Warhol exhibition is coming to College of DuPage McAninch Arts Center and its Cleve Carney Museum of Art in the summer of 2023. It will include more than 90 works from Bank of America s "Andy Warhol Portfolios: A Life in Pop" and more than 165 works from the college s own collection in Glen Ellyn.
From a studio on Western Avenue, an artist creates work that reflects [both] the beauty of nature and the grit of the city. And though he may be one of Chicago’s most prominent artists, Tony Fitzpatrick grew up in Lombard. Now he’s back in DuPage County for what he says will be his final museum show.
Business and community leaders Jerry and Betty Bradshaw of Wheaton are featured in the next "Leaders & Legacies: Stories of Local Impact" series brought to you in partnership by the Daily Herald and the Legacy Society of DuPage Foundation.
"Tony Fitzpatrick: Jesus of Western Avenue" opens Saturday at the Cleve Carney Museum of Art on the campus of the College of DuPage. Fitzpatrick insists it s his last museum show, and he s completely at peace with that. "It s not the end of anything," he said.
Cleve Carney Museum of Art in Glen Ellyn will present the final museum exhibition by Chicago multimedia artist Tony Fitzpatrick. The solo exhibition "Jesus of Western Avenue" reflecting on the artist s relationship to Chicago will be open Oct. 16 to Jan. 31.
