Back our efforts to provide Health Insurance to folks who dont have it. Its all about rolling back the Affordable Care act. This more than anything else seems to be with what the Republican Party stands for these days. I know its strange but one party would make some people uninsured the centerpiece of their agenda but that apparently is what it is. Of course what is stranger still is that shutting down our government and it doesnt accomplish their stated goal. The Affordable Care care act as a law that passed the house and passed the senate and the Supreme Court ruled the constitutional. It was a central issue in last years election. It is settled and it is here to stay. Because of its Funding Sources its not impacted by a Government Shutdown. These americans are here with me today because even though the government disclosed part of the Affordable Care act is now open for business. Parts of his package indicate a bold -though not complete departure from the current regulatory system of po llution control in favor of powerful market-based tools to reduce air pollution at the lowest economic cost. For this Bush deserves high marks, particularly for proposing a system of tradeable emission rights to combat the problem of acid rain.
