Since Dec. 22, 2021, the state reported an additional 22,598 COVID-19 cases, a slight increase over last week, totaling 1,015,435 for the entire pandemic. Also, 214 new deaths were reported by the state in the last seven days, 22 fewer than the previous week, totaling 10,468 for the entire pandemic. Currently, Becker County reported 71 active cases, a decrease of 17 active cases since Dec. 22. Otter Tail County reported 4 new COVID-related deaths this week, a county total of 144 for the entire pandemic. Statewide COVID-19 data is not being released on holidays, Saturdays and Sundays.
