Laval's political parties are squaring off over turf literally as an empty lot in downtown Laval's downtown core takes centre stage in the city's development plans.
Laval city council recently took out a loan of nearly $30 million to buy a building at 1200 Chomedey Blvd. According to the city, the purpose of the acquisition is to create more space for municipal administration departments in an area where Laval already has two other office buildings.
