Dimapur, Nov. 10 (EMN): To meet the demand of tourists during the upcoming annual Ghum Festival, the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has decided to operate an evening service of one special joyride under the toy train service of Darjeeling Himalayan Railway. An update from the NFR informed that the joyride will run between Darjeeling and Ghum in both directions on every weekend from Nov. 12 till Nov. 4 for eight trips in view of the upcoming three weeks festival. Joyride special train no. 02551 (Darjeeling – Ghum – Darjeeling), will depart from Darjeeling at 6:00 pm to reach Ghum at 6:45 pm. On its return journey the train will depart from Ghum at 7:15 hours to reach Darjeeling at 7:45 pm. The joy ride special will run with a composition of 3 First Class Chair Car and 30 seats each at every first class chair car coach. Also, in a bid to clear extra rush of passengers, it has been decided to continue the running of 05639/05640 (Silchar – Kolkata – Silchar) festival

New Delhi: Indian Railways has decided to revoke the cancellation of Madurai-Chennai Egmore Tejas Special trains. Railway Southern Zone has decided to introduce them from Sunday (10 January) ahead of the festive season. The Tejas Express will run with a composition of one AC First Class Chair Car, 12 AC Second Class Chair Cars and two Luggage cum Brake Vans.
