RUTHERFORD, CO., Tenn. - Drivers who do not obey traffic signals will be the focus of a traffic enforcement by agencies with the Rutherford County Traffic Safety Task Force during Operation Red Light on Friday, May 14. Operation Red Light will run from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Teams of law enforcement personnel will patrol high-crash areas of the City of Murfreesboro - Memorial Blvd./Clark Ave., NW Broad Street/Thompson Lane, S. Church Street/Innsbrooke, and Old Fort Pkwy./Cason Lane.
Murfreesboro Police Department Sgt. Greg Walker said the goal is to reduce crashes.

A 48-year-old woman has been charged with murder in relation to an assault in a Napier house in February. The victim, a 29-year-old woman, was injured in the assault in a residential property on Clark Ave in the suburb of Pirimai on the morning of February 1. She was found in a critical condition and rushed to Hawke’s Bay Hospital. Her condition remained unchanged, and she died on February 28. The accused woman appeared in Napier District Court on Tuesday to face a charge of murder. A charge of injuring with intent to cause grievous bodily harm was withdrawn.

(ABC 6 News) - The Cerro Gordo County Sheriff s Office said charges are pending following a single-vehicle rollover crash Monday morning.
The sheriff s office said it was called to 300th St and Lark Ave just after 11:30 a.m. Monday for a vehicle that had rolled and was on fire with someone trapped inside.
61-year-old Donna Rench of Manly was heading east on 300th St when her vehicle went into the north ditch and rolled. The sheriff s office said Rench was trapped inside the vehicle but someone who was nearby at the time helped free her.
Rench was taken to the hospital.
