The unions representing more than 1000 1080 employees saying 99 of their members voted to strike. These are emergency dispatch workers, san jose airport that, workers at animal shelters and the zoo, even folks who do not work for the city can be impacted if you are in need of permits or inspections for nutrition services. The contract expired at the end of june and so far the union has not reached a new agreement with the city
