WINDSOR LOCKS â A Suffield lawyer who shot and killed his wife on Christmas night before turning the gun on himself at his mother-in-lawâs Dale Street home had been waiting for test results to determine whether he was COVID-19 positive after his wife had tested positive, according to Lt. Paul Cherniack.
Both the lawyer, John Liquori, 59, and his wife, Cindy Liquori, 55, died from gunshot wounds to the head, said a spokesman from the chief medical examinerâs office in Farmington.
John and Cindy Liquori, who live at 900 Suffield St. in Suffield, were found dead on a bed inside Cindyâs motherâs home at 33 Dale St. around 6 p.m. Friday after police received a 911 call reporting the incident., police said.

Multiple police vehicles converged on the home at 33 Dale St. around 6 p.m. and officers cordoned off the area with yellow crime scene tape.
Police Chief Eric Osanitsch on Friday night would not comment on the nature of the incident police were investigating at the home, other than to say there was no threat to the public and police were not searching for anyone.
Around 9 p.m., state police arrived at the scene in a large white van typical of the ones used by the major crime squad when it assists local police in a crucial investigation. A state police spokesman could not be reached for comment.
