The National Guard will soon be deployed in Clackamas County, officials said Friday, in the wake of a powerful winter storm that left tens of thousands without power, some for nearly a week.
As of Thursday afternoon, more than 35,000 customers in the county remained without power. Outages in some areas have lasted seven days.
