The Corpus Christi-Nueces County Public Health District will hold two COVID-19 vaccination drive-thru clinics this week.
The health district said Sunday that it would receive a shipment of 5,500 Moderna vaccine doses this week. The supplies arrived Monday.
Five thousand doses will be given at the Richard M. Borchard Regional Fairgrounds on Tuesday starting at 8 a.m. Those doses will all be given on Tuesday so state officials can test the vaccination system’s capacity.
There will be no online pre-registration; all registration will be done on site.
On Friday, 500 doses will be given to people who received their first shot at the health district’s drive-thru clinic on Dec. 29. Public health director Annette Rodriguez said 537 people were given their first shots during that clinic.
