New Delhi: The Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) is likely to announce on Thursday (April 15) its decision on holding the board exams .
In an official statement, the CISCE said, “Due to COVID situation, CISCE will take a decision regarding ICSE (Class 10) and ISC (Class 12)” exams.
On Wednesday, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) had announced that it cancelled the class 10 board exams and postponed the class 12 board exams due to the rising cases of COVID-19.
Nearly 3 lakh students register to appear for CISCE exams including both ICSE and ISC exams. Last year too, the pandemic had disrupted the exams.

New Delhi: The central government on Wednesday (April 14) took a major decision to cancel the Class 10 board exams and postpone Class 12 board exams conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).
Several state boards such as the Madhya Pradesh board have also postponed the exams.
Following these developments, the students of Council For The Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) are looking up to the authorities to make an announcement on similar lines.
The decisions to cancel or postpone the exams are being taken in view of the COVID-19 surge across the country and students of all boards would be equally vulnerable to the infection.
The Council For The Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) on Monday released the datesheet for Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) Class 10 and Indian School Certificate Examination (ISC) Class 12 examinations 2021. The board will conduct the ISC board examination for Class 12 from April 8, and ICSE board examination for Class 10 from May 5. The ISC and ICSE time tables can be downloaded from the official website -
cisce.org. As the CISCE examinations will be held amid the pandemic, the students will be required to strictly follow Covid-19 safety instructions at the examination centres. The CICSE board exams are usually conducted in February-March. However, the exams were delayed this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
