Pioneer Fuel sues CargoBoss for property damage

FAYETTEVILLE Pioneer Fuel Corporation is suing CargoBoss Inc. alleging property damage from a CargoBoss vehicle. On Dec. 8, 2020, a semi-truck and tractor-trailer owned and/or operated by the defendant was being driven by an unknown and unnamed individual near Pax when the driver attempted to take what he thought was a shortcut onto County Route 27, according to a complaint filed in Fayette Circuit Court. Pioneer claims the driver went 1.02 miles on CR-27, which does not support commercial-size vehicles, before the vehicle attempted to turn around at the entrance of the plaintiff s property. While doing so, the driver struct Pioneer s security gate system and caused substantial damage, making the gate inoperable.

Apr 29, 2021 Apr 29, 2021 A Lizemores man was sentenced on April 22 to a prison term for three felony offenses, according to a press release from the office of Fayette County Prosecuting Attorney Anthony Ciliberti Jr. Appearing before Circuit Judge Paul M. Blake Jr., Anthony S. Lively, 26, was sentenced to one to three years in prison for the felony offense of attempt to commit burglary, one to 10 years in prison for the felony offense of grand larceny, and one to five years in prison for the felony offense of fleeing with reckless indifference. Lively was also fined $500 for the misdemeanor offense of unlawful taking of a vehicle.
