A Regina organization is looking to raise money as it moves into a new building this year.
The Circle Project Association is in the process of renovating an old Conexus Credit Union building into a Community and Cultural Hub in Regina’s North Central.
Executive Director Ann Perry says the building, on the corner of 5
th and Elphinstone, will allow the organization to serve the community better.
“We obviously have selected that area of the city because that is one of the most hard-pressed areas in the city, and most of the people that we serve are from that area,” said Perry. “So, our relocation there makes sense.”
REGINA Since 1988, The Circle Project has been working with the Indigenous community to help people and families gain supports and services in Regina, and soon the organization will get a new home. Jenny Strongeagle was a client almost twenty years ago. “Being involved with them they always made me want to come back. They always made me want to come back to Circle Project. I did get my education through them. And then I went on to business admin. I’ve had a career with government for 11 years,” Strongeagle said on Wednesday. The program’s impact inspired Strongeagle give back. She now sits on the organization’s board.
