Construction delays
A condition of the permit was the completion of the facility s second phase by June 1, 2018. After negotiations, the state extended the completion deadline to March 31, 2020. and later to Sept. 30, 2020.
Facility management reported financial problems in the delay, the order said.
The order states that facility management later cited the COVID-19 crisis, prompting another round of negotiations for the second phase s completion deadline.
Alleged sewer backups
In January 2020, the state received a complaint alleging sewer backups at The Point.
An investigation allegedly showed that kitchen equipment at Tavern in the Square, a restaurant at The Point, was directly connected to the sewer line and not to grease traps as indicated in restaurant plans.

LITTLETON Incumbent Chuck DeCoste and challenger Christine Nordhaus aired views on government transparency, preserving open space, and more at an April 20 candidates forum.
The forum was sponsored by the Littleton Rotary Club, and featured candidates for contested and uncontested seats in the May 8 election.
The candidates are vying for the one open seat on the board in this year s election.
DeCoste has served two terms on the Select Board and also served on the School Committee. DeCoste has also served in many community volunteer efforts.
Nordhaus, whose husband, Matthew, won a board seat in 2020, has served on school councils. She also ran the Littleton Community Farm for years, including overseeing programs in concert with Littleton Parks, Recreation and Community Education.
Goals for the future
Kennedy urged a review of the Master Plan, and the goals stated for the town s economic health.
The association wants greater involvement with the Economic Development Committee, and see that become more of a prosperous organization, and make a difference, Kennedy said.
As more people receive COVID-19 vaccinations, Kennedy said marketing businesses and attractions will prove critical especially with digital tools such as social media. I d like to help you recruit people.who understand marketing, to help you market the town better, said Kennedy. A lot of professionals in town understand marketing, especially digital marketing.
