So as we unfold here today and evolve through this process let me say on the outside that usually when i am on some show, i am sitting in your chair. Today im asking the question so bear with me as we unravel this or peel this onion. As i went through the book i saw so many interesting things about how we get to a better chemistry. How we get get to a better civility. How do we get things done in washington. So let me ask you on the outset, why write the book . Thats a great question. I think we write the book in part because we love the institution and we want to see it continue to thrive and progress and be what it can be and what our Founding Fathers envisioned for it. But that takes work and leadership, takes adjustment. I worry today that because of the dysfunction, we are at a crisis point. We are going to have to take some corrective action to bring it back.
