Our Correspondent Kohima, June 28 (EMN): Chief Minister Niephiu Rio, on Tuesday, called for collective effort to make Nagaland the most liveable place, known for its facilities, kindness, and hospitality rather than the tag of ‘disturbed state’. He was addressing the state function for Cleanest Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) and Wards Award 2022 held at Capital Convention Centre in Kohima. Rio appreciated the department and the officials involved for their initiatives to keep the towns clean, while exuding confidence that it would carry a positive message to everyone. Dimapur, June 8 (EMN): Koiwang ward in Aboi town under Mon district won the cleanest award during a programme held at town hall on June 7, while the second and third places were won by Aboiwang ward and Hahnyan ward respectively. The wards were awarded for the period between June 2021 and March 2022. Speaking on the occasion, the additional deputy commissioner of Aboi, Chumlamo Humtsoe, informed that the same event for April 2022 to March 2023 has already begun. He, therefore, sought public support and cooperation for the event, a DIPR report stated. Quoting Mahatma Gandhi, who stated that cleanliness is more important than independence, Humtsoe encouraged the gathering to take sanitation and cleanliness as their main priority. Dimapur, June 6 (EMN): Three newly constructed prefabricated hospital units at Community Health Centre Aboi were inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner of Mon Thavaseelan K on Monday. The units were sponsored by the American India Foundation and implemented by Modulus Housing through the initiative of district administration Mon. An update from DIPR stated that the dedicatory prayer was led by Pastor C H Mongnyei (Pastor Aboi Town Fellowship). The formal programme was chaired by Dr. Neiphrezo Soriinuo, SMO in charge of CHC Aboi while the welcome address was given by Chumlamo Humtsoe, ADC and HCMC Chairman. A special song was presented by the Aboi Town Baptist Church Youth Department and short speeches were given by Dr. Shasinle (DPO Mon-UIP/RCH) and the President of the Konyak Union Aboi unit on behalf of the civil societies.
