meteorologist tim williams and marty bass. guys, where is the eye of the storm now? reporter: a good question, mary and that is what we re here to answer. the eye of the storm is moving up the coast and the top center is up around new york and is actually moving on across the atlantic city and the jersey shore. the watches and warrings here are in praise warnings here are in bright red, that is the hurricane warning for the shore that goes and extends into new york. that is because the system is still, as of the last update, a category 1 hurricane and after 36 hours now and this storm maintained the status. flash flood warnings in place in the green for kent, cecil, and queen ann s county on the eastern shore, flood warnings in place until furtherno and they continue to be extended because of the rain in place. the big picture shows where the radar is. and this is what yet looks look in the bigger scheme. you see the center of rotation, not a closed eye but you still see
merchandise and out toward i-81. for the overall storm we ll see most of the showers. it s 5:00 a.m. here is angie with your time saver traffic. reporter: it s slick out there this morning but overall your commute out there still looking pretty smooth. we are green all over the map. our focus will take us down to virginia 395 heading northbound. notice drivers still moving at speed. those are the light conditions we re finding outside. a little bit more volume building but overall no real problems approaching that 14th street bridge. back to the maps we re staying in virginia but moving it over toward 66 making that eastbound trip. we re finding that drivers are moving at speed towards inside the beltway and overall drive time of about 45 minutes. over to our realtime traffic we want to show you the travel speeds here and how fast everyone is going. it looks like everybody is going at a great pace here on the outer loop. back to you. this morning many redskins fans have t
