Stargirl, Kung Fu Renewed at The CW Months after rumors started circulating on social media that The CW was set to renew Stargirl for a third season, the deal is done. Today that network not only announced a third season for Stargirl showing faith in the not-yet-aired second season of the fan-favorite superhero drama from executive producers Geoff Johns and Rob Hardy but a second season for freshman hit Kung Fu. The protagonist of the 2021 series is a young Chinese American woman named Nicky Shen ( Olivia Liang). She dropped out of college and took a life-changing journey to China, where she spent her time at an isolated monastery, studying martial arts. When she returns to the States, she’s disappointed to find her hometown of San Francisco overrun with crime and corruption. Nicky uses her martial arts skills to protect her community and bring criminals to justice including the assassin who killed her Shaolin mentor.

New Kung Fu Reboot Poster Released

New Kung Fu Reboot Poster Released ✖ Things are steadily getting back to a sense of normal in terms of The CW s roster of original programming. Many of the networks Arrowverse series are in full swing, as are non-comics offerings such as Walker and All American, and soon, the highly-anticipated reboot of Kung Fu will make its debut as well. A reinvention of the David Carradine-starring series from the 1970s, the new, female-led series will debut on the network on Wednesday, April 7th and now, The CW has released a brand new poster for the series. This latest poster is the second for the upcoming series and while it has some of the elements of the previously-released poster, this one features the series debut date as well as series star Olivia Liang front and center.
