youngest victim of this senseless shooting, nine-year-old christina taylor greene was laid to rest, a big mass on thursday. yesterday, federal judge john roll was memorialized. thousands have been lining up outside the churches. many dressed in all white, holding american flags. so as you can imagine, it s been a very, very difficult and emotional week. still three more funerals to go and this morning at 10:10 local time, a moment of silence was observed here in tucson. also outside of that safeway supermarket where this shooting happened, 10:10 is the time one week ago today when the shots rang out and all of this madness began. so it was a very moving ceremony there as hundreds of people gathered and employees of that safeway supermarket and also some first responders it s really been a roller coaster of emotions today, reliving one week ago, a funeral and also the good news coming out of university medical center here. juliet: but it is definitely heart warming to see what s goi
so-called virtual fence? we ll take a look. juliet: a bizarre turn of events involving one of the tucson shooting victims. wait until you hear this story, this guy, a victim, accused of making death threats at a televised town hall. and good news out of arizona. congresswoman gabrielle giffords, a step closer to possibly being able to speak, one week after surviving that gunshot wound to the head. casey stegall has been following the story and live outside university medical center in tucson. what s the congresswoman s condition right now? giffords is still listed in critical but stable condition. however, doctors here at university medical center behind me gave us a bit of good news this morning. they tell us that this morning the congresswoman underwent a very minor surgical procedure. what happened in that surgical procedure is they removed the breathing tube from her mouth and they installed one in her wind pipe, in her neck, called a tracheotomy. what that does is al
understand this morning that congresswoman giffords underwent a procedure to remove the breathing tube from the mouth and one has been surgically anterior, it s called a tracheotomy that allows her to get off the ventilator and allows her airways to be protected. so the tube is out of her mouth and surgically implanted in her neck. that is encouraging news and the condition continues to improve. she is opening her eyes more frequently and as we reported yesterday, she is moving both of her legs and she is moving both of her arms responding to commands even click ago ballpoint pen she is responding better to familiar voices, friends and family and doctors say that is to be expected. we ve got a lot of information to cover because this morning the community also said goodbye to its third victim. the third funeral held earlier today for 79-year-old phyllis sneck. her friends and family going out to eat in her honor. you know judge roll was laid to rest and also christina taylor
