10 YEARS AGO (2011): The Annual Volunteer Recognition Dinner was held in the Epicurean Room at the Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School. At this time, the Council on Aging, as well as Marlborough Mayor Nancy Stevens, recognized local volunteers for their efforts. Geraldine (Gerrie) Cavicchio and Lawrence Vifquain were honored with Volunteer of the Year 2011 awards that included Certificates of Recognition from the Mayor and Volunteer of the Year 2011 plaques from the Council on Aging. Gerrie Cavicchio was acknowledged for her valuable volunteer efforts and commitment to the citizens in the community through her generosity, service and willingness to help others. Larry Vifquain was acknowledged for his valuable volunteer efforts and commitment to the citizens in the community as the founder of FISH (Friends in Service Helping).
