NEW YORK CITY, NY – Former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie spent his Wednesday and Thursday celebrating a new television ad – starring himself – mask shaming Americans who question mask usage as a frontline defense against the COVID-19 pandemic.
“This message isn’t for everyone,” the failed 2016 presidential candidate lectures viewers. “It’s for all those people who refuse to wear a mask.”

Multiple outlets reported that the ads are being funded by Ray Chambers, the World Health Organization (WHO) ambassador for global strategy. Donald Trump pulled the United States out of the WHO in part due to its deep and troubling relationship with China.
Johnson & Johnson says late-stage COVID vaccine trial fully enrolled
Johnson & Johnson said on Thursday it has fully enrolled participants for the first late-stage trial of its COVID-19 single-dose vaccine candidate. The study, named Ensemble, has enrolled about 45,000 participants and is being conducted by its unit Janssen, J&J said here in a statement, adding that it expects interim data from the trial by the end of January 2021. J&J also said it plans to submit an emergency use authorization application to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration in February if the data from the study is safe and effective.

A good show by the VP, who’s the head of the COVID task force and thus a natural candidate to lead by example here. I’m surprised Trump is willing to let him have this spotlight, though. Pence is going to get nice press for showing leadership and the clip of him being injected will be replayed endlessly on cable news. You’d think the president might covet that for himself.
Doesn’t matter which of them ends up doing it, so long as it’s done.

In a new ad set to air on TV, Christie tells viewers, “This message isn’t for everyone. It’s for all those people who refusing to wear a mask.”
Drawing upon Christie again says he was wrong to “remove my mask at the White House.”
