RUSSELLVILLE - El Dorado won the girls’ 4x100 relay Wednesday at the 5A State Track & Field Championships. The Lady Wildcats finished fourth in the team standings with 48 points behind Lake Hamilton (86), Russellville (79) and Vilonia (61).
Damecia McDaniel saved El Dorado from a disastrous Sweetheart Night on Friday as the Lady Wildcats rallied for a 44-42 win over Texarkana in overtime at Wildcat Arena. McDaniel’s 3-pointer in the overtime proved to be the difference as El Dorado improved to 6-17 overall and 5-6 in 5A-South play.
